Falling in Love with Jack Black

Jack Black Skincare

When you hear the name Jack Black your initial thought is probably the actor and lead singer of the band Tenacious D. If you do a Google search on Jack Black, the first several pages are all about the actor.  However, when I hear the name Jack Black I think of top-of-the-line men’s grooming products.

About Jack Black

It’s been close to 20 years since Jack Black (the company) started addressing one big issue at the time. And at the time there was not a premium brand that met the grooming needs of men.  Jack Black was founded with the belief that men deserve high-quality skincare and that statement couldn’t be more true.

I’m Too Manly to Worry about Skincare

I never thought that having a skincare routine would ever be a part of my life.  At a young age, we are taught to bathe, shave, and brush our teeth. And skincare is not a normal part of that routine. Plus, I’m a man, why the heck would I care about moisturizing or care what ingredients are in my body wash?  Let alone, using a special soap for my face.

However, when my first wrinkles appeared in my 30s, I began to reevaluate how I was taking care of my skin. I thought that now might be a good time to start an anti-aging routine!

How I Found Jack Black

The first steps I took to reevaluating my skincare routine were looking for face wash and moisturizers that didn’t look so feminine.  I want something that smells amazing and is masculine. At the time it was tough to find products in the grocery store or at Target that was exactly what I was looking for.

A few years ago I was invited to try Birchbox Man.  Birchbox sent me samples of high-end and manly products each month. One of the samples was Jack Black Double-Duty Face Moisturizer.  After just a few days of using this product, I was hooked!  My face felt amazing! I actually felt a bit more energized and confident.  Weird how some products can have that effect on you.
