Your Signature Birthday Cocktails

Moscow Mule in Copper Mug

The only thing more fun than having a signature cocktail for your birthday is having three of them! Check out my top three picks for fun and delicious birthday cocktails. If you don’t throw yourself a birthday party every year, you should. It’s the one holiday that belongs to you and you get to choose what you want to do.

If you are starting your party at home, you should try my top three birthday cocktail picks. These are easy to make, fun for everyone, and delicious!

Pineapple Upside Down Cake

The best birthday cocktail to order at the bar is the Pineapple Upside Down Cake. This is one of my personal favorites and it can be made as a drink or a shot. I prefer to have this as a shot because it’s just a little too sweet for me. Plus, I’m a man and I will always stick to my bourbon on the rocks. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that you are less of a man for ordering this cocktail because it’s still pretty damn delicious.

Ingredients

Birthday Cocktail - Pineapple Upside Down Cake Shot

I recommend using a 2-ounce shot glass. Pour about 3/4 ounce of vanilla vodka in the glass, pour about 3/4 ounce pineapple juice, then splash your grenadine. No need to mix this one, it layers nicely!

(Pop) Rocking Champaign Toast

You are probably thinking that champaign is only for special occasions like weddings and New Year’s Eve. But your birthday falls under the special occasion category so pick up a few bottles and start celebrating!

Ingredients

Birthday Cocktail - Pop Rocks with Champagne and Vanilla Vodka

The Pop Rocks Champaign Toast is a big strong so you may want to shoot it. Rim a glass with lime and Pop Rocks, then pour an ounce of vanilla vodka, a splash of grenadine, and fill the rest up with some champaign. This might be a tough one to order at the bar unless you plan on carrying Pop Rocks with you. Honestly, that’s doing too much and you might give off the wrong vibe if you are demanding a cocktail with candy that you brought with you.

Moscow Mule

The Moscow Mule is a classic vodka cocktail that has been around since the early 1940s. The ingredients are simple, but it is one of the easiest cocktails to drink all night long. You should make this your signature drink for home and at the bar if you are looking for something delicious to celebrate your life!

Ingredients

Take out your copper mug and fill it with ice and add 1 ounce of vodka. Add the ginger beer and squeeze about half a lime into it. Then just stir and enjoy! If you love ginger beer, you should check out the Dark and Stormy. Basically, the only difference is this cocktail uses dark rum instead of vodka.

Please remember to always drink responsibly and if you are looking for some remedies for your hangover, check out my post about surviving New Year’s Eve. It really applies to any morning after.
