How to Make a Dark and Stormy

How to make a dark and stormy

One fall cocktail that is sure to please is the Dark and Stormy.  Maybe this cocktail isn’t exclusive to fall, I mean, you could drink any cocktail year-round.  It’s just one of those drinks that tastes like the season if you know what I mean.  With such a mysterious name, this cocktail makes for a fun Halloween drink.

The flavor of a dark and stormy might not be for everyone.  It is certainly an interesting and unique combination. The ginger beer and dark rum offer intense flavors that are truly delicious. On top of that, it goes down super easy. I was first introduced to this cocktail while vacationing in Florida and I couldn’t stop ordering them. I may have had one too many since I really don’t remember anything else from that trip. Remember, always drink responsibly!

Ingredients:

Serving a Dark and Stormy:

You can serve this in a couple of different ways. My preferred method is pouring 2-4 ounces (depending on the size of your glass) of Gosling’s Black Seal Rum over ice and then fill the rest of the glass with your favorite ginger beer. Another option is to pour the ginger beer over ice (leaving some room to add your rum) and then add Gosling’s Black Seal Rum as a floater. Garnish with a lime wedge and enjoy!
