The signature cocktail of Virginia Beach is the Orange Crush. Having moved down to Hampton Roads a few years ago, we visit Virginia Beach quite often. And we never leave the beach before having an Orange Crush!
The Virginia Beach Orange Crush is super simple to make and the flavor is amazing. Honestly, it’s very easy to put down several of these before you realize that you may have had one too many!
Mix It Up
- About 1 1/2 freshly squeezed oranges (Simply Orange, pulp-free orange juice works too)
- 1.5 ounces vodka
- 1-ounce triple-sec or an orange liquor like Cointreau
- Mix the rest with a lemon-lime soda like Sprite
Making the Virginia Beach Orange Crush is simple.
Fill a 12-ounce glass with ice and then pour in the fresh-squeezed orange juice, vodka, and orange liquor.
Give it a little stir and then fill up the rest of the glass with your favorite lemon-lime soda.
This cocktail is amazing when it’s served over ice, but it’s pretty incredible served frozen too! If you’re going to make this into a frozen cocktail, just double up on the ingredients and the ice!
There are several variations of the Crush that can be made with pineapple, cranberry, and sweet tea too! Get creative and try something new to find your new summer cocktail!
